Elle l&rsquo;est un peu moins sur les trottoirs, mais peut s&rsquo;installer sur les ronds-points, les bords de routes et de chemins.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est une ombellif\u00e8re (apiac\u00e9e). Elle est de la m\u00eame famille que la carotte, le c\u00e9leri, mais aussi&#8230; la cig\u00fce. Si certaines d&rsquo;ombellif\u00e8res sont largement cultiv\u00e9es, d&rsquo;autres sont dangereuses et m\u00eame mortelles. Elle est pourtant comestible, au go\u00fbt de mandarine. Cette plante est \u00e9l\u00e9gante et sa hampe florale peut monter jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 deux m\u00e8tres. On ne doit pas la confondre avec la berce du Caucase, encore plus majestueuse, cultiv\u00e9e comme ornementale, mais invasive.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est au printemps de sa deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e que la berce produit de d\u00e9licates pousses duveteuses et souples. Plus tard, ses feuilles deviennent coriaces. Les graines, r\u00e9colt\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;automne peuvent, elles, servir de condiment.<\/p>\n<p>Comme pour l&rsquo;ang\u00e9lique, ou particuli\u00e8rement sa cousine du Caucase, le suc de la berce spondyle est photosensible. Au contact de la peau, il peut provoquer de graves br\u00fblures sous l&rsquo;effet du soleil.
