C&rsquo;est une plante grimpante vivace et tenace, qui parfois s&rsquo;\u00e9tale sur le sol ou par \u00e0 l&rsquo;assaut des arbres. <br \/>Elle peut para\u00eetre envahissante et certains jardiniers, certains paysagistes, lui m\u00e8nent une guerre sans merci. <\/p><p>Le lierre n&rsquo;est pas comestible, il est m\u00eame toxique. Il se nourrit par lui m\u00eame, avec ses propres racines. Il leur est m\u00eame un pr\u00e9cieux alli\u00e9. Il prot\u00e8ge les troncs des agressions ext\u00e9rieures.<\/p><p>A la floraison, les abeilles appr\u00e9cient son nectar. Ses baies sont, elles consomm\u00e9es par de nombreux oiseaux. Quand \u00e0 ses feuilles, elle assurent le couvert \u00e0 de nombreux insectes qui survivront \u00e0 l&rsquo;hiver.<\/p><p>En ville, son feuillage peut pr\u00e9server les b\u00e2timents des surchauffes l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9. En basse saison, son vert luisant tranche avec le gris du b\u00e9ton.<\/p><p>Le lierre est riche en saponine&#8230; d\u00e9tergente et moussante. C&rsquo;est la plante r\u00eav\u00e9e pour une lessive DIY tr\u00e8s bon march\u00e9. De nombreux sites Internet en font mention.<\/p><p>On ne confondra pas avec le lierre terrestre, petite plante rampante de la famille des
